Every day since the invention of the atomic bomb has been statistically more unlikely than the last, we're still alive without nuclear war because we are in the most improbable timeline.

This comes with all sorts of other weird (unlikely) things happening more frequently as well.

It’s not going to slow down much either I think. The rate at which we’re breaking every heat record this summer already is frighting. Heat domes, smoke covering much of the US

Add inflation and increasing wealth inequality to that and it feels a bit apocalyptic

Honestly, though this does seem like one of the most chaotic times, inflation is one of the things that worries me the least. It’s just that we’ve had an unusual period of price stability until the last couple of years.

This is because we have left the time period that the AI had data for and have entered the simulation on what would have happened if the world didn't end. Things will continue to unravel from here.
