The thing is, once you’ve started a coup there’s no point at which you can rein it in and say “woah, we’ve really messed up here, sorry - can we just say this ‘never happened’ “ right?

They painted the NSA on the map for hackers unfortunately, this was what started the whole information war. The russians and chinese went into overdrive after the cyberweapons became public knowledge, later tools were leaked by the "shadow brokers".

The timeline is really quite suspect, as Carole alludes to, this was also the period in which that a lot of interest in AI was piqued. Open AI, Theil, Musk, Cambridge Analytica et al.

Mercer's involvment in digital manipulation and activity surrounding it continues today.

It would certainly appear so, the revelations of the Shadow Brokers operation suggest an inside job tbh. A tertiary dimension to all of this, is that the anti-everything brigade sure do have a lot of people in their circle with peculiar interests and links.

Assuming that the Russians are players in this, which is looking very likely. I would reckon that one of the objectives would be that of kompromat. Profoundly destabilizing for governments and will lead to a deluge of misinformation, undermining democratic processes, especially elections.

That probably explains the glaring link with all the same stuff that's kicking off and how it relates to the UK for sure and how that we got infiltrated as way back as 2014, the timescale fits. I just wonder if our own domestic intelligence knows about it, huge cashflows in that direction too.
