Business Continuity Plans are so important. They aren’t exciting or revenue generating…and tend to fall to women. Leadership tend to not take them seriously and then say they didn’t know when an “event” happens. It’s strategic thinking at its best!

I gave the same advice to an organization a year ago. The development director looked at me like I was crazy. If only people understood that “trust Black women” is not a slogan, but essential wisdom.

In early summer 2008, I warned bosses about impact of stock mkt crash (before it hit). They ignored warnings/ plans. late fall, they called emgncy meeting, said no one could see it coming. Cost us millions. Me?White, blue eyes, (had) BLS hair. Them? White man, black man, and a woman? ….
