A small group of students gathered on the first night & on the 2nd and 3rd days others joined in.
But the authorities then stormed in. Students were beaten and 3 of them killed.
Putin's puppet thought the massacre of students would scare the parents & force them to take their children away.

In a later post, you omit Poroshenko presidency, during which many important reforms were implemented and visa-free travel to EU became possible. Zelensky was not a politician at the time.
The authorities had killed the students right in front of them & it was the turning point.
As one said, "I went to bed in Kiev, I woke up in Moscow."
The protests then mushroomed.
By the next day, a million people were on the streets of Kyiv.
And what had been a modest protest movement became a revolution.
It would become the largest democratic mass movement in Europe since 1989.
The first time I thought,
Who are these fierce
people? I like them!
🇺🇦💙💛💪🙏
Now I love Ukraine!
But they didn't give up.
Their response to these mass killings was, no, we will not, we will not flee, we will not run, we will confront this threat to all our nation, our independence, our democracy.
The Constitution of Ukraine was restored, freedom was returned, but it would be the last time that the country would be in one piece.
Zelensky would be elected & the rest we all know.
But from one man's FB post, a modest protest turned into a revolution that gave Ukraine her freedom back, and it's that freedom they are still fighting for now.
Amazing & powerful documentary of the Maidan Revolution that will fill you with emotion for we are now faced with the same -- corruption or freedom?
