As I’ve noted before, the press is unwilling to recognize that Musk and Vance are at the very least close to neo-Nazis because to do so would mean acknowledging that the press massively failed in promoting them for years

Милей из Аргентины тоже присягнул Трампу, порвал с Украиной и даже удалил со своих акаунтов все фото с Зеленским (можете проверить). До того клялся и божился в поддержке

At some point the opposition needs to say what is happening here: Donald Trump is a tyrant in the full sense of the term, an American fascist dictator who believes the law flows directly from his command. And he is also a deeply unwell, unfit, and criminal man with nonsensical whims

The disease of the American political class is the inability to see, describe, or respond what is happening, when doing so would conflict with the speech norms of the American political class

The reality that global trust in US Treasuries could ebb slowly and then collapse suddenly has been a risk staring everyone in the face since the first Trump presidency. Yet a lot of people who should have known better simply assumed that US fiscal stability is somehow immune from political chaos

The only shocking thing about Trump making English the official language of the United States today, is that after his appalling treatment of Zelensky yesterday, I just assumed it was going to be Russian…

DEMOCRATS: You are committing a historic error right now. The federal government is collapsing and you are paralyzed. You seem unable to even address half the stuff that's happening because it does fit into your pre-fab vision of what good political rhetoric sounds like. You are failing America.

The CCC says there's no place for hydrogen heating in the UK. At @e3g.bsky.social we found that it would cost the government £40bn a year. Hydrogen boilers can explode in people's kitchens. The fact we are even talking about it is testament to the influence of the oil and gas lobby in politics

Worst. Episode. EVER.

This whole saga has, I think, demonstrated very well my contention that American political journalists believe that they deserve all of the respect and deference that comes with filling a vital societal role, while rejecting the idea that holding such a position also entails duties and obligations.

‼️ Economic Analogy Lesson Thread: Mistakes people make interpreting Russian Economic Data For our example, we’re going to be using this Sears Mail Order Home No. 117 from the 1908 catalog! archive.org/details/Sear...

one of the really fundamental unspoken US ideas for a long time was that men above a certain social level should never face consequences. this bought us Trump 2 in two ways, both in the failure to punish him and in the rage about MeToo breaking this rule

so special ed programs are getting gutted because their internal documentation used the term "transition" when talking about helping disabled kids enter the working world. they're literally striking at that word wherever they see it.

I’m in Munich and people keep asking me to decode Vance’s speech. OK: In Vance English “free speech” means “Let Musk run your elections” and “democracy” means “let Russia run your elections.” Now move on. 2025 is about what Europeans do, not what Americans say.

They think they are "technocrats" cyberintel.substack.com/p/doge-expos...

They're going to get away with it. Charges against Adams will be dismissed. Adams will be Trump's best friend. The DOJ will be subverted. And all without the national leaders of the Democratic Party making so much as a peep.

Elon Musk really doesn't know fuck-all about engineering or computers, that's why he has all those loyal 18-year-old racist nerds with him, he needs them to do the programming for him. But they're also incompetent. www.404media.co/anyone-can-p...

Damon Hininger, CEO of private prison giant Core Civic, just told investors: " I've worked at CoreCivic for 32 years, and this is truly one of the most exciting periods in my career ... we're anticipating .. the most significant growth in our company's history." theintercept.com/2025/02/11/c...

Musk's company has been awarded a $400 million government contract for "armored Tesla." This is what the tech oligarchy looks like. www.dropsitenews.com/p/elon-musk-...

Several things that happened in the last couple of days: Musk just stole $80 million of emergency response funds directly out of New York State bank accounts. Musk cancelled dozens of federal contracts to support public schools. Musk's company SpaceX was awarded a $38 million federal contract.

His illiquidity is the danger. He has to keep doing shit like this. The Not Actually Real Money Bus must be kept above $200 billion or it will explode. All of this shit is basically debt and blackmail and it's forcing people like Musk into increasingly precarious and dangerous positions.

"daddy only hits you because you cry" is never compelling to the other side but is the central self-justification of the republican partisan

By the way, the reason it matters that Trump lied is because news media is reluctant to report "Trump's radical agenda is bad and authoritarian," no matter how true that is. To our awful political class, that feels like editorializing. But they ARE willing to report on lying and hypocrisy.

this is the sort of thing people like aaron and myself see all the time and we understand the msm is sanewashing him, as the great @parkermolloy.com noted, when they clean all this up and present him like he's a normal boy. for example, look at the ap report and compare it to the absolute shit

We MUST stop normalizing this. The tariffs aren't because of the border or drugs or subsidies. This is straight up a pathological need for the convicted felon to feel dominant, and for retaliation to anyone he feels slighted by. This. Is. Not. Normal.

honestly it's really hard to see where Elon's current trajectory ends. he's messing with extremely foundational systems, he doesn't understand them, he thinks he's 10x smarter than anyone in the room, and he's far too wealthy to constrain.

I hope people see how truly alarming this is: 1. Musk's team, who may not even be US govt employees yet, have complete access to OPM's databases of PII on federal employees and have locked out career employees 2. Musk's people trying to do same with THE US TREASURY MASTER PAYMENT SYSTEM 🚨
