Medicine in America is not as great as they claim. TX was horrible with reporting in 2020, and I still don't trust their numbers. I'm concerned with the underreporting of Avian flu - even if it never fully leaps to humans, it can cripple wildlife & domestic animals

Yes. It’s also particulate and not droplet so it spreads easier. Take down bird feeders, keep cats inside, you may want to keep shoes outside and clean pet paws coming inside. Report dead birds and do not handle any outdoor animals.

FWIW, and you may already know this but just in case, COVID vaccines are not great at preventing you from getting it, they're mostly just good at making it less severe if you do get it. Masking is still the best preventative.

We have been seeing periodic outbreaks of bird flu for most of a century. The 1983-84 outbreak in the northeast US cost about $70 million to deal with and involved killing 17million birds.

The current north American outbreaks have been ramping up since late 2021 (newfoundland/Labrador in December)
