So that's H1N1 and H3N2 accounted for. And if they're surging now, the rest of this winter won't be pretty.

Odd that MRSA is in the mix though. That's not usually linked with viral outbreaks.

That is odd. Maybe people are catching it as a secondary infection. Usually flu leads to pneumonia as a secondary infection.

My teenage son is getting over a secondary pneumonia after having the flu. It's rough out there.

He tested negative for everything, but Doctors treated him for flu based on his symptoms: fever, headache, chills. We're all vaccinated, which is probably what saved my husband and I from getting it.

MRSA in the lungs has to be a nightmare for health professionals to treat. I would assume that it would bump the number of fatalities quite significantly simply by the damage it causes and how hard it is to treat.

There have been more hospitalizations this season. You have to go back 20 years to see an uptick this high. The data I've seen showed a correlation with increased hospitalization where vaccines were lower. It's mostly children and the elderly w severe disease.
