I don't have a PhD in molecular biology, but I am very interested: why is this complete bullshit (other than only being in a mouse model at the moment)?
considering they were honest that it's only showing promise in animal models currently, I think your problem is with the larger state of science (dis) information, and not with this account
it's still interesting information/I'm still following
I am 1,000 % on board with animal testing as a way to evaluate new drugs
but since 90% or so of chemicals that "work" in some early stage animal model fail to become drugs, that is FDA approved cause the actually work in humans, the OP was BS in that it was overly optimistic
Very positive, but it should be remembered that many compounds which look promising in rodents don’t see good effects in humans. However, I really hope that it (or one of the set) gets to be trialed in humans soon! All good ideas are welcome!!! 😊
Friends
sorry, but this post is totally misleading
things that "work" in animals usually don't in humans

far as I can tell, this post by SARS-CoV-2 is total complete bullshit
really, if this is what they post, just block them
so not exactly BS, but the headline should be
possible, but unlikely, but in 5 or 10 years we may have some data showing this works in humans with emphasis on "unlikely"

I mean, if we take this PhD's advice we'd have to literally throw out all modern medicine, as all modern trials started in animal models

is it good to let hope flourish, even if that hope is sorta overstated, or is it bettr to be realistic ?
I go with realistic, but maybe I am wrong
