Recommend everyone temper their expectations for 80 and 70 series until reviews hit. Their performance numbers are no DLSS vs DLSS4, no way a 5070 matches a 4090 in raster performance.

I'm a little bummed at $2000 over $1800, but I was pretty bang on with the predictions. Everyone was absolutely freaking out over a $2500+ 5090 and a $1500+ 5080... just seemed insane lol. Not good pricing (5070 maybe OKish?)... but this is the day and age we're in unfortunately.

There was just no way they could increase it. The 4080 at $1200 was completely DOA and they released a faster card later for 200 less. Especially without a VRAM increase as you say, don't think they'd have much ground to stay on for it to be >1k IMO. Wouldn't have sold.

Founder cards use the same 16 pin power connector as the 40xx series. Third party vendors will most likely stick with the tried and true .

Want to build a white PC this year. Had a white Gigabyte 4070 Ti Super in my parts list - I guess there’ll be no white versions of the 5080 for ages and we’ll want to see spec comparisons between the two also to see if it’s worth just getting a 4070 Ti Super or 5080
