lol I have lots of ideas, none of them horror, and I need help with art and fleshing out the stories. I can do the code, and I have access to plenty of music & sound effects. (But currently have a project on the go.) I have a universe within which there could be a horror.

That super depends on the dev and what their talents are tbh, i'd guess just smaller scoped stuff tho? Puppet Combo games feel like a good example of solo-achievable.

oh, will check out puppet combo games then. one of my prototypes is dungeon crawler with some battle, seems like it might be a good fit for a horror game but still missing a lot of context on what they're supposed to play like
Imo there's no such thing as "supposed to", but horror games usually make the player feel weak or powerless, the goal being to give the player feelings of caution and tension.
Do you have a story you'd like to tell, or world/s you'd like players to explore? Might help to think abt the environments.
