Think of it like this, we have 11 unified combatant commands, for example: CENTCOM. When an order is given like the one that took out the Iranian General, the SecDef transmitted the order directly to the CENTCOM commander who then carried out the order. He's a 4-star. His toes were just stepped on.

Nobody's. SecDef usually transmits orders from the POTUS to the Unified Combatant Commanders. That's how I know it happened that way.

Nah...these young kids in the military now believe in the military industrial complex. I was told that any 1 star or higher is just a politician. Now, the ones skipped over may be pissed, but I doubt it
