I could do without the whole nativity story altogether. I think it was disingenuous for Schultz to coopt the emotional struggle that his character was having.
The ONLY character that seemed to have an attraction to the advent story was the one who sucks his thumb and carries a security blanky...
Reading of atheists and Jewish people who love this resonates, because it's genuine. I'm Christian, who was raised Evangelical, and this is one of the few moments where faith doesn't feel forced. And you know, that's the way it should be.
That’s really interesting in light of the fact that it seems like in the present-day mainstream, much of what is deemed socially acceptable/unacceptable seems to be dictated far more by corporations than anyone else.
