I love how his faith grounded his perspective. He exuded peace, contentment, and love for people and acted on it. I would say that I don't need a pastor as president. I do want a president to be a role model of leadership and behavior for my son and all of us. Really appreciate your article. Thanks.

His concern for your well-being is perfectly in keeping with his character. That you came from opposing positions on several policy matters was irrelevant. You were a brother who had been beat up in the public square, and he shared your pain. How lovely to be reminded of that kind of Christianity.

I needed to read that in these times that seem so frightening and daunting. Jimmy Carter would ABSOLUTELY know how it is to navigate the headwinds of troubled times, given he had to clean up the mess left in the wake of Nixon and Ford, which saw similar strife.
