I'm not sure, but as normal your art is beautiful. I think for me it's a bit too jaggerdy if that's a word 🙄. I'm a smooth curve type of person but we're all different, fortunately.
It's throwing me into theological contortions:
Holy Ghost = 🕊️
☦️ is sometimes referred to as a tree.
🪹 = ❤️🔥?
Easter eggs are a symbol of resurrection, but does this mean 🕊️ could lay or come out of an egg? But there's multiple 🥚! Does this refer to the filioque dispute?
Maybe it's a heretical icon?
A bit random but cycling around the countryside, I sometimes come across some weird & wonderful things people put on their property. I immediately thought of the giant nest & eggs.
Other people mentioned rebirth and that's part of it. But, I am drawn to a few elements. First, the cross shape. I know that Ethiopian icons are often in cross shapes. I have one like this. I think it's reasonable to assume that this is an icon too. I'm also drawn to the stark, bare tree.
Usually, birds aren't producing young during the winter (unless this is early spring in this image). So, the icon writer here is putting two images together, a paradox of sorts. A stark, winter tree and a nest full of young chicks. This almost reminds me of Christ's birth aka Nativity amid...
the cold of winter. The fact that there's multiple chicks could easily describe the church. The Church is at its best, a place to keep oneself warm in a cold world. It seems to acknowledge that many of us are still developing wings and that we may not be able to fly yet.
It makes me think that you could be crucified if you don't take care of your eggs😉
It's a stark setting, it's not the right time for egg laying as there are no leaves on the trees. It references the crucification. Feels dystopian but beautifully painted
