That's really excellent. Are you working with a picture? I seem to mess up proportions when I try to do that although I can paint beautiful paintings from my imagination and memories.

Thank you! I made a digital mockup from badger photos and references from https://unsplash.com (excellent free image resource) and some preliminary sketches. I sort of grid it out in my brain as I go - there are plenty of mistakes that I fix as I go ☺️

Le Blaireau d’Amérique has a terrifying mythos here, worse than the wolf, and even the bear.
Nature docs and stories always included some terrifying story about them. I lived in the city, and they scared me!

Wow. Amazing. Actually saw a golden badger once in Lassen Park crossing the road. Beautiful animal probably just out of hibernation. Big enough to make me pause. I hear they are fierce & very effective with those claws that dig so very well.
