The moment you left the safety of Vault 101, you really felt that you were out in a world with desolation and destruction, and you were this kid knew almost nothing about survival out in the wastes, and you had to look for your dad.
I find Oblivion to to be the only Bethesda RPG from that area that doesn't hold up THAT well, but it's still perfectly fine. F3 and New Vegas are timeless
Oblivion is my 4th all-time favourite, but last time I played it was 13 years ago. Been meaning to revisit it, but I'm always wary of my perception of old games changing when I go back to them.
Still want to do a full playthrough next year though. Morrowind, now that one's gonna be a challenge 😂
How does it compare to leaving the Shrine of Resurrection in Breath of the Wild the first time? Knowing that everything I could see was explorable was amazing
So true! This game is a core memory of my childhood. Gotta hit up the secret rock outside of megaton for that sniper rifle.
I loved that special weapons in this game were... special. I like Fallout 4 for a lot of reasons, but finding legendaries off of regular schmucks was immersion breaking.
I played it for the first time in April this year, about the same time last year I played New Vegas. Absolute quality games. 👌 3 was definitely my favourite, though.

It's insane how incredibly it still holds up. Loved every single minute of it.

I don't like hugs so maybe it's me 😳
