3pp doesn't affect you but 1pp does? Interesting. Both affect me, but not in every game.
Minecraft is bad on default settings, but better if I turn off headbob & increase view angle.
Half-Life 2 is bad & I don't know why.
Even Dungeon of the Endless gets bad after a while, & that's pseudo-topdown.
What's weird is there are some old 1pp games I did ( and can still ) play like Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake, Golden Eye. But as soon as Spyro came out it was all over for me.
There are some 3pp I can't play. Usually because of unnecessary camera movement or it turns too fast or the character is still too close to the camera. Some games i can think of right away are GTA4 and Witcher 3.
I low-key forgot about it after its disastrous launch. Having only a ps4 at the time, there was no way, lol. I reckon it's stable enough to try now with my ps5, yeah?
Yeah I’m gonna watch Edgerunners first (since I know the story of 2077 already and plus it’s a prequel) then replay the base game and wait a couple months and then play PL for the first time. Oh and I’m doing an evil corpo playthrough this time. As for PL, prolly another new character
I started it today and I played it for 5 hours in a row. Don’t usually like shooters and can’t do first person but this one has a solid vibe so I’m digging in.
I think it's pretty good, but honestly I don't agree. I don't think it's particularly top class in any area other than voice acting. Definitely play it if you like open world action adventure shooters! But I don't think it'll convince anyone who doesn't like the genre
I am basically ready for PL and then to end the game, so I'm taking my time now and doing a bit more side stuff.
I also have a technique for memorizing video game maps, and I may take a few hours and attempt to be able to drive map free in Night City. I love it that much lmao.
I couldn't get into it when I first got it but I said the same thing with ME Andromeda but eventually when I got back to playing it again I loved it so I gotta give this another go soon
It’s nice because you can see the direction our country is going by cozying up to billionaires. Add Blade Runner to the mix and you can really prep for the future.
So I haven’t played it so please don’t freak out on this question. I’m asking to learn about it, not disrespect it. I’d heard it was a lot like a futuristic version of GTA 5. Is that true or total BS?
This. Can't stress enough. I wish CD Projekt Red was big enough to work on TW4 and Project Orion simultaneously because I need that sequel more than I need to be loved.
It's okay. I'm not happy about it but I'll wait as long as I have to. Didn't expect to play Cyberpunk 2077 and immediately know it's in my top games of all time. I'm ready to be blown away.
I'm in the same boat. I've tried every Witcher game because it's a game I should enjoy, and I just can't get into it. The combat feels off for some reason.
I LOVE the Witcher series. But I’ve been playing CP table top since the 90s. They nailed it for the most part. And as a game, especially after the update, is one of the best games of all time. To me, number 1. But should be in everyone’s every top ten unless they hate good games.
Then don't play? :-) But seriously, it's a great story with great mechanics, and the Phantom Liberty expansion is mind-blowing - completely different experiences based on your choices.
He said that everybody should play it, which means that he can sell the game to anybody. I'm asking for information that might potentially change my mind.
Well...if u don't like the genre, there may be nothing that will change ur mind. I like a great open world, but I'll prob never play RDR2 because I'm not a western fan. I like genre cyberpunk. CP2077 also has excellent stories, graphics, and unique combat mechanics.
I'm about to hit the ending for the first time after probably 120 hours, and I feel like I could just keep playing it forever. Even now, I'm not tired of it at all. Absolutely incredible game (and the anime might be even better??)
I just bought it last month. I’d heard terrible things when it released, but lately I’ve been hearing about how it’s all been fixed and that everyone should play it. Five minutes into the game, an NPC stuck in the floor with just his head showing, tells me to stop looking at him. Uninstalled.
Yes, uninstalled because only perfect games are allowed. JFC. Put on your adult clothes and try again. The game IS amazing, especially Phantom Liberty, but you have to actually play it, bugs and all.
Maybe not. I ve try. People insulting you during the game. What the point ? I go outside and its already a disaster, so why a theoric disaster would be better ?
I barely remember when the first ad came out. Apparently it was 2013. I remember the random moments of disappointment from about 3 years after that. Why would I spend my money on something that gave me 7 years of disappointment?
Currently playing it. I did start it when it first came out but abandoned it due its glitchy and buggy launch. Much better to play now. I’m up to the Sasquatch boss.
Got it at launch and refunded it several months later since Xbox allowed you to, recently got it and I got to the point where you can start roaming around and I just find it boring. Might give it another try someday
I have been playing the game since it came out and I STILL have yet to finish it because I keep getting distracted with trying different builds and routes.
I legit think it might be my favourite ever single player only game, and I've not even dabbled in the DLC yet! It's a shame they canned the multiplayer because a Cyberpunk GTA Online would've been absolutely insane

Both had questionable launches but became cult classics later on

AND watching Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for the first time
PL is probably one of the greatest expansions ever made.
Possibly best game since Portal/Portal 2.
Even beyond running the missions, just wandering around on foot is fun.

I was 💯 invested in the storyline/characters.
Those scriptwriters got me with the ending..
I died on the first mission 😆
You?
BUT, I did just start a FemV yesterday.
Doing a full melee build.
It's been my gaming pipe dream for years now.
(I have a problem)
...on an Xbox One
No updates.
And in particular, every game dev and aspiring game dev should be playing it and thinking about it.
I’m gonna do a new playthrough on deck soon. You tried it on deck?
To think the last game that did that to me was Titanfall 2 for some reason. Funky
