Imagine harassing the people who worked on a game just because you don’t like it.
Embarrassing behaviour.

If you harass a developer because their creation isn't perfect or exactly what you wanted, you need a hobby.
Preferably one that's a solo hobby 🤷♀️
Gross that it even needs to happen, but people's brains are out here melting
Bro, if you want an answer, go read a fucking dictionary.
If I don't like something I prefer not to engage with it. There are too many amazing things in this world to waste my time on things I dislike. Let alone try to harass the individuals that create/ enjoy something I do not.
😒
I have a lot of games I don’t like, so I play other games that I do like. Crazy concept, I guess.
They're just a bunch of homophobes.
That is an unrelated point, and veers this discussion in a different path, but its still worth mentioning.
Very few redeeming qualities. I'm mostly just here for the cool science stuff, but get random posts like yours in my feed.
Speak with your wallet here folks, not fists and pitchforks.
The fact that a bunch of internet shitbags go around telling people their work sucks and they should “off” themselves tells me they’ve never worked hard on something they love, or anything.
Perhaps everybody has to step back and take a deep breath.
And even then, just shut up and be pissed by your lonesome. Don't harass people, especially the ones who are worked to the bone.
Any disappointment is a failure on your part to do your due diligence or having unrealistic expectations.
And stop calling games "unfinished garbage" when that is actually extremely rare. *That's* why people are mad at you
Pokémon S&V
No Man’s Sky
Final Fantasy 14
Cyberpunk 2077
Sonic Boom
WWE 2K20
Fallout 76
I don’t like companies taking advantage of public trust that they will put out quality products. I blame the developers, not the actual game makers.
I put over 150 hours into No Man's Sky in at launch, it was exactly what I expected it to be and I was happy. Is
The Developers *are* the game makers.
Check. Your. Expectations.
The only thing damaging to "the community" is shitty attitudes. Your definitions are completely out of whack. What game is "barely playable" and unfinished akin to a movie missing 30 min? Let's get specific.
(Imo you can not like stuff but you still gotta be like good job tho cuz you created something I could never!)
What a waste of time. If I don't like a game, I ignore it. One of my life mottos is: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
Because he had an easter-egg that was racist, that he likely didn't know was racist.
He fixed it and apologized.
“ok so we know what happened last time, and the time before, and the time before that…. And before that and before that and when did we do the sailing one? Anyway, haters gonna hate. This time we got the feds”
Typical behavior.
antiTech algorithming has weaponized morons to believe they are geniuses and capitalism ensures profitability is all that matters.
A sane sustainable society is no longer relevant.
Is this about some recent game in particular
He was FANTASTIC
His delivery during the ending of Gaiden made me tear up!
Social media has unleashed our inner demons.
Social media has stratified so many things into "us vs them" issues. We thought we were democratizing information sharing, but we created the Eternal Outrage Engine instead.
These people are actual scum.
They would rather just shit on anything that doesn't meet their realistically flimsy standards and not be willing to think more critically about it or let it be changed by anyone.
Fact is, the perception of “actively hostile” is more than likely the result of harassment of which the recipient of the “active hostility” is not aware. These developers get harassed about things that the individual developer cannot impact.
*cough* Ghost of Yotei *cough* Witcher 4 *cough*
In some communities, its disturbingly acceptable to tell developers to kill themselves several times over, and then get pissy when they leave as well.
Embarrassing behaviour.
It never once occurred to me to email the developers. To swear at them all the way until I beat the game, privately, absolutely .. but never to email them & bitch at them for it.
