one part of my new role is training young people on how to use PCs because our new hires only grew up with tablets and don’t understand file systems or zip files 🫠 I feel so old 😭

Yep. And the laptops they use at school these days are locked down so much they’re basically tablets with keyboards.

my local school doesn’t even do laptops any more, they just use iPads :| and all their homework is app specific and that app is locked to the Apple ecosystem so parents are having to buy them iPads for home use which the kids then use to access sites they shouldn’t…it’s a whole thing 😩
