My parents worked for the United Farm Workers and the point was to disrupt the money made by businesses with poor practices. While there may be other forms of protest, the most effective has always been to stifle profits. This would set a bad precedent if Energy Transfer wins

North Dakota state court. They tried in federal and didn’t work. Judges in North Dakota state are very sympathetic to oil and gas.

Perhaps if energy companies would turn to sustainable energy sources the protests wouldn’t be necessary. Killing the planet for profit is something that dirty energy execs should imprisoned for, not given huge legal awards. It’s past time to consider the children!

We'll see what the courts say, based on evidence brought by both sides. The precedent created by this case may affect activism in the means employed, but I would surmise that other forms of protests would pop up to disrupt...
