Might be a cope but the game might have actually been developed targeting the switch 2, and then the switch 2 got delayed so they had to port it to the switch, resulting in it looking and running like ass.

That is unfortunately just cope. We pretty much know exactly why the game looks and runs poorly, and a lot of it comes down to amateur mistakes by the devs. It's not optimized for the Switch 2 or anything, it just isn't made well. Switch 2 is carrying the poor optimization by being so much stronger.

Ok but all the shortcomings just get fixed by having more vram and faster load speeds, both things that the switch 2 has. Things are optimized for the platform that you're targeting.

Not even close to all the shortcomings are getting fixed. The game running at a constant 10fps is the only thing that changes. It's still going to have all the visual errors, and maybe even the memory leak. The idea that it was built for a console releasing 3 years later is absurd.

This is great! I was assuming given how powerful the system says to be that performance should be better. I didn’t have much issue on the original switch, but I think a more powerful system can help it shine a bit more..hopefully SWSH is part of the backwards compatibility too 🫣

I truly hope they actually release a red switch 2 cart version of the games + teal mask/indigo disks... Then I can stop my dumb futile search for the newer version of the cart rhat has both parts of the dlc on it (instead of only teal mask, and needing indigo disk to be downloaded)
