Would you find it preferable for "creatives" to be multi-hyphenates to describe each discipline they are using in their practice?

I think that, as with "content," there are limited but existing places where the term is useful, but it has been shoved in to all sorts of places where there are more specific and accurate terms that should be used instead

We're wrestling with this right now, as we try to help new students explore what creative careers actually look like. Surviving in a single lane can be really difficult. Helps to think of yourself as a creative person with a flexible toolkit. OTOH, "creatives" opens you up to a lot of exploitation.
