I really don't have any respect for nihilists in this moment. If you truly believe nothing can be done to better our world--and thus: why bother--I need you to take that shit somewhere else. I got no patience for it. There are too many vulnerable people who need us to waste time comforting cynicism.

There are people out there everywhere, helping others, easing others burdens, fighting in their own ways for the rights of others .

that's what nihilism is
This rings true. Thanks, Charlotte.
I'll be damned.
It won't stop everything, but it will stop some, and regardless, I can't imagine what other choice we have.
Keep pressing for a better future, and don't become cynical.
It needs to be starved of oxygen.
Absolutely be kind in your daily interactions with others, but let's give them enough rope to hang themselves with and be ready to pick the pieces.
One other thing
Still, we soldier on, right?
because IMHO, nothing changes until enough of us realize that we are well and truly f****d because we lack leadership.
We don't have the power to change the Supreme Court, oligarchy, and disinformation -- at least without the leadership that SHOULD and DO have the power to change. What we lack collectively as a progressives within the Dem Party is the will/courage to do so
So while I'm not exactly serene about SCOTUS, oligarchs, and the media environment, from my perspective its mostly a waste of time to complain about them--at least until we have leadership that will challenge them.
