IΒ΄ll start w my Boy Yulian. Not sure why i changed him, i started drawing /desinging him in 2019, then he went trough a few transformations until now.
i like him more realistic and more into the real military theme :)
First is Fox, who originated from one of my first digital pieces! I remember printing it on the home printer so my mom could put it on the fridge!
& second is by beloved lil Fletcher who went from βkinda alien looking humanoidβ to βfluffy space ferretβ!
And thank you! Looking back it is funny to think I drew mostly just humans or elf-likes. These days a rarely make an oc that DOESNT have animal features of some sort π¦
You embraced your creature liker side and found your niche. I would say it is truly iconic for you and your style π€
Great designs.
My Yo was in the beginning a frat Vampire with the name Yoichi. I dropped the frat vampire part and made them a human. Clyde was more optimistic and a twig. Now he's more bulky and his optimism is gone π
Not just their design changed but also their stories, but telling all that wouldn't fit into one post π€
(Both these boys are adorable!)
Thank you so much imber β€οΈ
He is evolving as Iβm integrating him into a new world, getting less intimidating and more of a unsuspected menace. so, Iβve been changing the design along the way to give him a more fitting first impression
And the character is so pretty!
He was named Ruby because he was born albino in a family of red-skinned tieflings. There is a folk tradition to call your child after something you want them to take after. His mother called him Ruby so he would grow up turning red like a Ruby. (1/2)
At her feet are a large rat and shaggy cat looking up at her. Behind them is a long ghost flying upwards towards bats in the sky.
thanks!
First image is one of my oldest characters, named Tsurenai. I made her in ~2005-ish?
She was ultimately sundered into two separate OCs: Mercedes and... Tsurenai.
I could make a whole thread about how that happened and what each OC took, lol
That is such a gorgeous improvement, and splitting one OC into two is an interesting approach π
Thank you! Splitting the original into two wasn't my original idea, but I'm glad I did it. I got two cuties for the price of one.
Also, that's an immense artistic glow-up between the old and the new!
Such fabulous looking characters
Here's the og designs of Raerean (2023) and Xoos (2020), then their newest, finished pieces. They are my favorite character designs I've done.
Then Jareth! his original concept and design from 2018 to extremely different now in 2025
Valia is adorable. What a glow up.
This is my Sangheili OC Uso 'Gaman. Had him a while and redid his armor design because my style changed. Other than that he is still the same big scary guy! #halo #oc
2001/2003 -> 2024
one of my favs from day 1 π₯° she never had more than a vague backstory til a couple years ago, now I have a whole cast of unicorn people & it's great. I'm glad I revisited this oc closer!
remember to to add alt text next time.
My characters have evolved so much~ So much has changed/but also stayed the same~
Kai is one of my longstanding OCs, his old design I repurposed as one of his familial predecessors when I started back up fleshing out him, his story & doing more worldbuilding. He grew on me during 2020 & has been my top fave to muse on ever since.
[ 2016 -> 2025 ]
Early pic I always had him around 20-ish but I matured my OC's the older I got so Kai's roughly 28-35 depending on what 'verse I throw him in aside from my own.
The eye tats with the swirls was a play on a shadowy eyes theme. In some cases the eyes are bioluminescent. π
The ornate outfit suits him really well too.
Iβm especially obsessed with the body jewelry and gold halo/headdress of the angelic look, absolutely beautiful work β¨
Linking it here too.
Neeko's main change was his hair and general improvement over the decade!
Old ->New
Honestly one of my fave things to reccomened to folks is to pick up a really old character and redraw them or redesign them it's always so fulfilling and sometimes sparks new inspo!
Now we've added on his Kokabee animal form, his original state/last of his species π₯Ή
Love his designs.
and then he made his humanoid form later on to better fit in with other angels. and to seduce chamuel-- what who said that
hereβs my dragonborn!! heβs grown up with me and my art :>
Remember to add alt text next time.
JΓΆrg and Kir 2 of my main OC's at the moment. Life has taken a big toll on them, but I do love them anyway
All jokes aside, love you you draw scars. They almost feel like cracks in ceramic.
And such a beautiful comparison about ceramics, thank you for your kind words!
You're very welcome π
Left are old designs, right are new character sheets I did for them.
Jittie in particular went through a rather intense design change from a goth to a diva.
(I actually thought I lost the oldest designs, backups saved me)
I am also open to commissions https://bsky.app/profile/yomiferus.bsky.social/post/3lhabbb2bxk2i
Vindara is definitely my glow-up character, haha - first is 2021 vs the last which I did the start of this year!
He's the nobleman boyfriend of my current Pathfinder pc (who was formerly his bodyguard/sign language interpreter) who is an aspiring botanist π±
I'd appreciate it if you commented on someone else's post that you find interesting and RT some people as well.
I'll also hide your reply if it isn't on theme.

At all.
Not even labelled.
Neither Ilya nor Mosaic have undergone major changes but my art style has evolved a lot since their first refs.
Mosaic got a more realistic and femme body shape.
Ilya's scars changed a bit, I got rid of the snake tattoo and changed the one on his back to something simpler.
Old -> New
I am so glad I went a more femme route with her. It just works so well.
And i have to agree on the colors, the more I draw them, the more I fall in love.
Mosaic's design is so pretty, but I like Ilya's so much. He's got so many little details, I can tell you think about him a lot.
I fucking love Ilya. Mosaic means a lot to me as well but Ilya is my child. That man is on my mind most of the time.
I am still quite happy with the old versions despite their issues.
Can't be inaccurate if there is no accurate version to begin with.
And it's really interesting to have the old and new versions next to each other. It's a fantastic art share idea!
Got the idea from some art trains that have been around. And the fact that I didn't realize how much Ilya (and my style) had changed in such a short time.
Oh yes, I remember those!
I really like the idea of her essentially being slim-thicc. She's got a bit of muscle, a healthy layer of fat and a gorgeous figure.
The characters didn't change much, but I managed to draw them fully digitally. Also, in the new version they are more adorable :')
Thank you omg β‘
Your art style has evolved a lot in such a short time while still retaining most of the past.
Yeah, I think the sketch-ish vibe is still there. And I went through several phases during the last years. Very detailed pencil work -> very loose fine liner sketches -> digital art that is kinda both. I don't even know how to pinpoint that, but something changed constantly.
He has bio armor in the newer version which is supposed to look like it *could* be part of his body.
Also I 1000% understand simplifying Ilya's back tattoo, I can't imagine having to draw that multiple times π³ lmfao
Though I will say, the snake is so much worse. I still don't know how it is supposed to twist around his arm.
I am honestly so glad i changed it from the weird gradient I had before, looks more natural now I think.
Mosaic got a new scale pattern (diamond shapes) and Ilya got ~body hair~.
(Give your OCs body hair, it looks really good for some reason)

I think bismuth was an unintentional inspiration for them. Mostly went for sunsets but I definitely like that take as well.
Mosaic's color palette is absolutely stunning, I love their look all around, and Ilya's tattoos are incredibly cool, in both versions! Thank you for sharing these! π
Almost 2 years between these. Sugar was meant to be more unhinged and unlikeable. Lambark was the chill voice of reason. Not really the case anymore lol
Sugar's outfit was also horrible, so we updated it while still keeping the core concept. Lambark stayed the same because why alter perfection?
Initially they were based on an adopt designed by @prismagic.bsky.social . I went in a completely different direction with them over the years however.
@patauctor.bsky.social @meloteaart.bsky.social @laureliere.bsky.social @sitaart.bsky.social and idk anyone who follows me???
There is a setting that gives you a pop up so you have to add alt text. Makes it a bit easier.

My dragon age oc, Yaviel, first from 2017 vs the most recent in 2024. I wanted that ten year in-lore span of time to be reflected. Her hair's longer, she's going grey early from magic use and her tattoos got a proper ref + update.
Great design! She's so pretty!
Starting in 2015 I had just finished up my 2nd year's animation project and already started developing a style for my 3rd year's project.
Out of that exploration came the 1st ever sketch of Kyara.
After 2016, the year the short was finished the design would see gradual changes, increasing in complexity as I no longer needed to animate her.
Zack was created by taking elements from Kyara's personality, namely the gadget-building part.
Initially this had little to no effect on her design, but her character would change.
Kyara's look needed to be radically changed, as the old look was putting a mental block on my imagination for the world at large.
I took inspiration for her new design from an older character, created alongside the OG Kyara design.
In Ch02 her outfit would see a minor update, adding black leather chest armor to carry the Scythe.
Getting a scar on her cheek, a new set of Buntha clothes and eventually merging her classic blue with the Buntha style for an armor fit for the finale.
This is my changeling rogue dnd oc Vaz!! Loved playing them. Nothing like imposter syndrome when you're literally an imposter

...actually come to think I might have some existing threads I can just post in replies
here's alexa's OG design from 2018-19, versus her more recent glow-up. i'm so glad i got rid of the weird t-shirt tunic for the iconic stays π
I agree it was a good choice to ditch the tunic in favor of the dress. Gives her a more unique look.
I mainly work on the outfits for my characters, and one that I struggled with for a while was the goddess for of my girl Rydia. I didn't like the original, but I didn't have the refs or visual library for what I wanted until later.
(2022 - 2024)
Samuelβs old design wasnβt too different from his normal one. He sorta just grew up. He used to be a depressed teen who did nothing but think and be angry. Now heβs an adult in a punk band. Itβs sorta sweet to think he just got old :,)
First art by @sk3lebun.bsky.social
From a dandy grump to something more feral... and then, my favorite: ambiguous, ethereal, and just a tiny bit menacing π₯°
You can be really proud of it πͺ
Amarantha looks absolutely amazing.
She looks amazing!
