ITT: ppl being extremely emotionally attached to criticizing ppl on the internet for their creative works rather than moving on. maybe i'm not *interested* in being "pushed to improve" or w/e. maybe i'll ask for critique if i want it. maybe being free to do something doesn't make it not a dick move

I don't think they ask themselves "what does my comment accomplish" but they should. I've discarded plenty of posts after asking myself that question. Also cuts down the urge to argue on the internet

A few years ago, someone I knew told me the whole, before you say something, ask yourself: is it true, is it necessary/helpful, is it kind?
