do you have a source for that? because that's not the case based on the information i've seen. the reason that death rates have fallen is that basically everyone on the planet has some form of immune familiarity between infections (less effective) and vaccines (more effective).
Nothing that deep. Just my immunologist friend at the university, my doctor, and my own experience with it last Nov vs the first time I got it back at its worst. And I've kept up on boosters so yes, probably plays a large role.
I made it four and a half and then my wife had to go to a funeral and came back and gave it to me. Hope yours goes as well as mine did, just a week and a half of flu-like symptoms.
