America: a country where white men can still kill unarmed Black people and walk away without accountability.

Stay in school kids!
Assuming he was protecting the rest of the car (I don't accept this, but they do), was strangling him the only option? I just don't think so.
But I’m still jolted by this verdict.
New Yorkers don’t like the specific
population of individuals who behave
erratically on the subway.
Not all of them are Black.
I agree with you that it was murder
and this is a travesty, but you have
limitations prosecuting this type
of defendant in NYC.
“Mr. Penny and his supporters …gathered at the Stone Street Tavern in the Financial District, celebrating and taking pictures.
“They were having a good time… They beat the case — they won — and they were having a couple drinks.”

But he's still a murderer. May he never know a night of sleep without thinking about it.
Running away instead of killing is the good thing to do.
And yeah, I do have a problem with racially motivated murders. Everyone should.

The jury found that Goetz had acted recklessly and had deliberately inflicted emotional distress on Cabey. Jurors awarded Cabey $43 million–$18 million for pain and suffering and $25 million in punitive damages.
Guess they want to go back to the days of public killings with no consequences because the victim is black.
Then tell us which year this happened (hint- NOT this century).
When you don't respond with the answers it will prove that you have no argument and you're just here to be owned by the libs.

But of course, Byrd seemed like he'd reformed himself during his life...
Doubt that could ever happen now.
And I hope it's short. Sick and fucking tired of these people killing us and getting away with it.
Penny will not enjoy the after-life waiting for him
but a high profile case is a heavy burden that will force some accountability unto people
and sometimes this is just not enough
It sounds like Neely needed significant mental health support.
Threatening people on the train...
This reads more like FAFO.
Sorry, man, I usually agree with you.
Not this time.
What a crock.
This should have never gone to trial.
