Love that we have a media environment where women simply can’t publicly celebrate any professional or academic accomplishments without literally thousands of miscreants telling her that her proper purpose is to be a brood mare.

I know right! The kitchen is closed! I also apologize for saying the kitchen. I didnt mean to imply women to go back in the kitchen. Just they aren’t serving what you want anymore! 🥳
In addition a woman can never seem to achieve anything by themselves. No it's not because they have worked hard or have talents nope! They must have slept their way up there!
The women that join into this mentality make me the sickest. How dare they perpetuate what MEN say about any woman that disagrees with them or is powerful! Beta men and weak women use this as their go to to put a woman down. It’s pathetic 🤢🤮
Reem does not think trans women are women, and pushes for policies that ignore the existence of people born with intersex traits, which I'm sure she also finds to be an uncomfortable subject.
Frankly, all women deserve to be protected from violence. Trans women are victims too.
Tell me that this isn’t a tomboy receiving conversion therapy. The process sterilizes kids. Her ovaries will not be allowed to mature. These girls would likely grow up to be lesbians. How could Alsalem, or anyone, support this? They are KIDS! Trans has nothing to do with LGB https://x.com/againstgrmrs/status/1863940143293300967?s=46
I agree with her standpoint. Transwomen are men with all the rights that carries. They deserve all those protections. Just like women deserve theirs. Men mansplaining to women that they belong in our spaces is mysogyny. Intersex people are not gender unicorns. It is a devastating condition
Trans people represent 0.5% of the global population, while 2% of humans globally are born with intersex traits.
This isn't a binary issue even when you break it down to physical traits, both gender and sex. When you draw hard lines to create exclusive spaces, you inevitably exclude some women.
It emphasizes what a small and vulnerable group this is, and how little empathy someone must have to spend time and effort on shaming and excluding them from safe spaces.
Being "classified" as a sex doesn't erase intersex traits. They are remarkably common for how little acknowledgement is given, because someone is sorted into one side or the other as a "best fit." It's because gender and sex are a social construct and assigned. The underlying scales are messy.
You keep repeating yourself here with, "rare and devastating condition," but intersex traits would 'fail' someone from being a woman by your standards. The policies you agree with isolate and exclude a small group, all for the sake of enforcing a gender purity test. https://www.ohchr.org/en/sexual-orientation-and-gender-identity/intersex-people
Once again, if you see a social media post that gets you ruled up, consider the possibility that its purpose is not to express a genuinely held belief but to get you riled up.
If you’re looking for a good charity, check out Rainbow Railroad. In countries where being LGBTQ+ is illegal and can mean imprisonment or death, Rainbow Railroad helps people escape and establish new lives.
Misogyny has been going on in social media since it was created. That is the point of the original post. Women constantly having to defend their achievements. If you're over the age of 14 you should know this.
No, from what I've gathered there was something on twitter about a woman posting her phd and people piling on calling her names. But nobody I follow there posted about it and over here I only saw 2 posts, neither had screenshots so I still don't know who this is about.
the original poster was talking about this happening to women in general. not only a specific incident. they're saying women are always having to defend themselves. thats why they spoke in general terms.
I'm particularly taken by people who never went to college (probably because they didn't meet minimum admissions standards) commenting on the qualifications of a recipient of a doctorate from Cambridge.
Many of them are lol, they're just barely online... they're in the woods, choppin firewood, whittlin' a nice wooden keepsake for their loved ones, taking the newborn out for drinks, you know -- guy stuff.
Cute you think it's the media environment. Men are like this, period. It has nothing to do with SM, that is just a means of concentrating the male venom. But it only harvests what is there. And always has been.
Couldn’t agree more! All those fragile egos that feel the need to diminish the accomplishments of a strong woman because they’re lacking. Its equal parts pathetic and maddening and unfortunately, I suspect, it was a huge reason why Hilary and Kamala lost.
The UN’s Reem Alsalem is calling out the injustice to women that is erasing our reality. These men are perfectly allowed to dress and mimic women, but it stops at changing our very definition to make room for men in our hard won spaces
Sex work is not safe, and is a large reason why so many transwomen are killed each year. Why allow this? We can decriminalize the sale, while criminalizing the purchase, to protect these vulnerable workers
I can’t find any reference to falsifying evidence - could you send me the passage in question? The article seems to disagree with her position on criminalizing sex work. Many countries have done so, while purchasing sex remains criminal. How was she falsifying evidence?
There are several grammatical errors and typos in this post, but I checked out the links and sources for myself and the claims make sense. It appears that the number of "men" winning in women's sports is either unveriable or likely exaggerated. https://emiliabeckers.substack.com/p/the-truth-behind-the-claimed-920
I make grammatical errors when fuming too. The critique is based on:
1. being a non-official report
2. the kind of activities incl.
3. unverified sources used
4. event purposes
5. Alsalem’s background and education
6. disc golf 181 not 204 medals
7. women impacted
Seems to be about scope and method?

...is not the winning argument they seem to think it is
But consumers of media must recognize where the brood mare - and childless cat ladies - sentiment comes from ..
An attempt to reverse the demographic reality facing the White majority
Great post tho.
Hence my avatar.

Not everybody follows the accounts that post about the latest main character. Asking for context is not a crime.
But you have to put up with our ADHD and the fact that we like dudes in our beds.
