Although I try to avoid any sight of Dear Leader, hearing his voice evokes feelings I would rather avoid. I will either hit the mute button or change the channel to something less offensive (like sports). He can speak all he wants, I don't have to listen to it.

This doesn’t mean I won’t be engaging and working hard to counter public health misinformation, just as I did the first time around. It just means that this time I will be solely focused on actions to counteract him. I don’t have to see or hear him to do that.

I'm trying to figure out how best to stay informed re: things where timely pushback can make a difference (nominations, pending legislation, exec orders) while ignoring everything else. Clicked on what I THOUGHT was NYE coverage on Disney+ on Tues. It was a year in review with him on. Oh, hell no.

I am definitely in the same boat. I have not and will not watch any major news network. I will get my news from sources that I trust. I also read as much peer reviewed articles as I can related to public health. I want to keep my scientific integrity and independent thought as much as possible.

His first admin I was able to avoid him pretty well. If I wanted to know what he said I searched for a transcript.

I am interested in his use of cadence and how it affects people. His rallies ended with the exact same voice and music as religious alter calls. I think it triggers deep emotions.
