Many of us started our careers going to a physical library, making physical copies of papers from scientific journals. Used to have several file cabinets full. Embraced the digital age to save paper and stopped printing anything. If PubMed goes down, no science can be done. Your taxes pay for it.
New nightmare just dropped: what if the Regime decided to take PubMed offline? I can’t think of anything not tied to research funding that would cause science to grind to a decisive stop more quickly.
