I work at a PWI & I constantly have to be aware of the difference btwn system change to make my school just & DEI. The latter is often done performatively w/ little real impact, the former has to be done subversively but has real impact. I worry less abt losing DEI if we are working for real change.

Long thread but..1/I couldn’t quite put my finger on it until this morning. People are outraged by companies pulling back on DEI work. I think we should be outraged. (Some of you will dismiss the previous sentence based on my next sentences)
