And also, that they have qualifications in multiple areas beyond what the job requires. Huge issue in academia, where marginalized scholars learn the canon AND the contextual and interdisciplinary research on top of that (and do more service/teaching). And are still told we aren’t rigorous enough.

The most aggravating thing in all this (to me) is the sheer number of you, who believe Black people got high-paying jobs on account of their skin color and not their qualifications. That standards were lowered for us, when the truth is the bars are 10 times higher for us.
