My fave Star Trek novel is Diane Duane’s The Wounded Sky. I bought it when I was 11 or so and I think it took getting a theology PhD to fully get it. If you’ve never read the early Star Trek books, do it. Most written by women in the 70s/80s, they tend to be feminist, queer, weird & delightful AF.
