The character designer / animation director has worked on things like Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia, so no, it'll probably be fine. Science SARU isn't particularly known for bad 3D either. There's been no mention of 3D but I assume if there's any it'd be for the Fuchikoma (Tachikoma in SAC)

Let's see. It really destroys the illusion when they completely jump over board with 3d for environment and mech stuff. If they just had some self restraint and used 3d as classic plates it would be fine.

I think GitS is like Evangelion, fans asking for more angels, more Asuka, more Rei, completely missing the message the work wants to send. I can understand that (I was one of them), but it's kind of sad, because there's no learning but just entertaining

Yeah, I was thinking of Eva too. For whatever it's worth, I've at least enjoyed more of the GitS 'extended media' than the steaming sludge of the Eva Rebuild movies (particularly the latter two).

I thought Stand Alone Complex (2nd gig) in particular had some interesting stuff to say. Though I agree,not nearly as good as the first movie.

However, we might end up with another Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood situation so who knows. Worst case we ignore it like Arise lol

Yup, there's been several. This is a new take on it, I suppose. There's little info as of now, but I'm excited because the style is closer to the original manga
