Good to see that The Australian is avoiding becoming an echo chamber by seeking a wide range of perspectives from Simon Benson all the way to Simon Benson
Well, the Israelian decided it was a bit overt to state the truth, ie. 'Simon Benson and Bridget McKenzie' wrote it, so they so very cleverly gave Bridgey McSportsRorts a code name...
I like the way that newspaper thinks that real lefties would vote for Peter...selling a different reality to make voters think there are only 2 parties.
Either there's two Simon Bensons on the books or one is his alter ego, the where he dox's welfare recipients and turns LNP propaganda into front page exclusives.
"The Australian" didn't like Albo having a good guy image so they ran a campaign to make he drop it and when he did they then start running articles complaining he's no longer a good guy.
What has the LNP EVER done for Australia, a legacy?
BTW if you care to look Labor has reduced inflation to around 3% from the highs of over 6% left by the LNP (who hid $92 billion in spending adding 3% to inflation), increased wages, 2 surpluses, renewables & more..
Who ever said LNP has done anything? All of Australia's great progress has been led by Labor, which is why this current government, led by the most uninspiring PM in living memory, is so disappointing.
I think you might be less disappointed if you take a less biased view, even look back at your own first post here. Criticism is more credible when you can actually acknowledge the good as well as pick out the bad.
And he's killing his image with shit personal decisions. He campaigned incessantly about growing up with a single mum in social housing, then he goes out and buys a luxury house in middle of a housing crisis
He bought a home with his fiance in an area where her family live. This rubbish angers me , a young woman about to be married and the purchase of THEIR house is subject to nasty commentary with no though of her feelings
You tell that to the childcare and aged care workers who have received a significant wage rise. The same job same pay recipients. Taxpayers who ALL received a tax cut. Future made in Australia and the aged care reforms. Fixing the NBN and NDIS. I say well done Albo. Keep it up next term!
I'll give you some of those. Though they were really forced into the wage rises in aged care. The NDIS is a mess. They are pushing people out of it without appropriate alternative supports in place.
Forced? NDIS is a mess because it was neglected for a decade. Shorten has made good progress but it'll take much longer (like everything in the economy left by LNP) to fix up the problems caused by neglect, waste, rorts and incompetence.
Yes NDIS was neglected but Shorten has made it worse for now. They are shoving vulnerable people out into the cold while negotiations with the states are stalling.
Try tax cuts worth $23 billion a year, cheaper childcare, cheaper medicines, energy bill rebates, extended paid parental leave, free TAFE courses, higher wages for many workers, it’s opened new Medicare urgent-care clinics. Oh, and a path to meet zero.
Every time I spot an Oz headline I think it smacks of wishful thinking. Rarely is it backed up in subsequent text. Ignoring it saves me a lot of time though.

Maybe doubling as a journalist twice in one article is just Benson continuing the theme.

Why did the RBA - full of LNP directors - not raise inflation before the last election?
Labor has done well despite worldwide pressures.
