And we’re in a nuclear pact with these 🤡 clowns. Ditch #AUKUS

www.smh.com.au/national/nsw... ‘Federal member for Mackellar, Dr Scamps called for Northern Beaches Hospital to be “returned to public hands”, saying the public private partnership was a “failed experiment” & that “public health & private profit-making are fundamentally incompatible.”’

“political leaders insist that mining and forestry underwrite Australian prosperity. I will state it plainly. Those who believe this nonsense cannot be trusted with the wellbeing of future generations.” Ken Henry nails why LNP and Labor are on the nose. #auspol www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Too little too late. A public private partnership. What could possibly go wrong? www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

One thing that I will say about Parr’s work is that some middle class critics seem to believe that they have a God-given right to express outrage on behalf of working class people, without ever asking them what they think. It’s patronising and this mindset pervades most aspects of art/photography.

Disgraceful! www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...

Our institutions are not really all that subtle at letting us know whose rights and views are not considered important

This 👇 is censorship. Pure and simple. When did we start censoring art?

Arts Minister Tony Burke made some remarks earlier this week about Creative Australia’s decision to ditch Lebanese Australian artist Khaled Sabsabi as the pick for the 61st Venice Biennale. They didn’t get much coverage but I can’t get them out of my head. So here you go.

Glad we had a lazy $4.6bn spare to send to the UK for AUKUS...

Years ago, after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, I interviewed a former fb employee, and I remember her continually emphasizing that these tech bros weren't evil geniuses, but were, in fact, dangerous because they were utterly clueless, totally reckless, and had too much power.

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

“Macgregor said she was disappointed in the “lack of arts leadership” at an organisational level and at the “deafening silence” from large arts institutions over the past week.” www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...

We don’t want “SpaceX engineers” We want trained, competent air traffic controllers, ground crew personnel and people well versed in making sure the public can fly safely Which hasn’t happened ever since President Musk and his flunky Trump forced out FAA Chief Michael Whitaker

I can’t pretend i’m not disappointed. 764 signatures and I am so thankful for every one and for all of the incredible Blue Sky peeps who have relentlessly shared & pushed. 24 days to go and we have to get a move on if parliament is to take this seriously #auspol www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/...

Well what do you know, turns out there is a corruption issue in the Robodebt referrals worth investigating. NACC independent reviewer says all six people referred should be investigated for possible corrupt conduct. The NACC gets to do the investigation, of course. www.nacc.gov.au/news-and-med...

Good. Now we just need to get rid of Brereton. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Gee big yank tanks dangerous for other road users. Who would have thunk it? www.news.com.au/technology/m...

LNP wants more consultants to help their mates out. Certainly not to save money. Who would have thunk it? www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

This 👇 Unfortunately Labor don’t have the guts…..

1. Trump and his Death Eaters cannot tolerate any rival power. Europe, when united, is a major trading and diplomatic bloc. They see Russia (much less of a threat to US hegemony) as an excellent instrument for breaking up Europe, by threat or by force.🧵

10 people died after welfare payments wrongly cut off due to IT bugs in employment services system, discovered then ignored for 3 years. Ombo investigating. Govt won't turn off 'penalty zone' because private job agencies would lose profit briefings reveal. www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/politic...

MSM sinks to new lows. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Robodebt. The worst scandal in public sector history. Over 400,000 Australians hit with false debts, ruining lives. We must learn the lessons and make sure it never happens again. @pennyallmanpayne.com and I on the job.

Two Murdoch editorials exactly 12 months apart. Barnaby might be a 'drunken idiot' but he's our drunken idiot.

‘AGL says its remaining coal-fired power plants cannot continue operating long enough for them to be replaced by nuclear reactors, as proposed…without raising the risk of higher prices for consumers and more sudden outages.’ Don’t get mugged by 🥔 on #nuclear. #Auspol www.smh.com.au/business/com...

I drove a cab for 15 years. I cleaned up a lot of spew. It wasn't fun. But even I can tell you Sam Kerr should never have been the one who needed to explain herself to the cops, let alone a courtroom. The entire case is a textbook definition of white privilege www.theguardian.com/football/202...

"The Trump tariffs on our aluminium are a major test for the Albanese govt, could determine the election." FMD. Aluminium articles account for a bit over 1% of all our exports and just 13% of that goes to the USA. We really need to stop acting like pleasing Trump is vital to our economy

Ruston said LNP has always invested heavily in medicare? 😂😂 =delusional !! Lest we forget that Fraser scrapped Medibank (Whitlams version of Medicare) & Hawke brought it back. Ever since, LNP have been trying to undermine it. Medicare is NEVER safe under LNP. #PutLNPLast #auspol
