Half hourly bus service on MARTA's 102 isn't spectacular, but have you seen where Reagan put HIS presidential library? This shows the walk from the nearest bus stop.
A man lives a 100 years, has profound impacts on the world, lives with decency, and you try to make yourself relevant by criticizing the transit access of the Carter Center? 🚩
I’ve never had an issue getting there on the 816. It’s a relatively pleasant walk from the train too (the path l is a straight shot. Certainly not a key destination.
The property is easily accessible. I stop by frequently. The location is historically significant to Atlanta and to the country. It’s more than a Presidential Library. Parking is ample and free.
The 816 and 102 buses both get close. Not to speak for Jarrett, but in his *excellent* proposed redesign of the MARTA bus system, it was probably impossible to design good bus service to the Carter Center, due to the campus-style sprawling one-way road system.
As an actual transit planner, I have a lot of problems with the transit score system. Yet is obsessed with the differences between buses and rail, even though that often doesn’t matter for whether you can get there.
