That’s awesome! My positive news is I’ve joined the hubby on a work trip to New Plymouth, so I’ve taken the opportunity to go on lots of walks before and after work 🥰

I'm headed to New Plymouth for a day mid Jan. If there's a short but immediate/beginner track that's worth it Let me know.

Nice one! New Plymouth’s coastal path is a lovely, gentle walk. On Mt Taranaki, the viewing platform walk is cruisey and the 1st part of the Enchanted Walk is beautiful and not too taxing until you get to the Trig Track. We turned back at that point because I’m clumsy and didn’t want to tempt fate!

We had afternoon visitors - a cousin, her husband & two lovely kids. We enjoyed a catchup outside, shared afternoon tea, took great joy in our scaredy cat uncharacteristically schmoozing with the kids, & then watched two adult Californian quails & three chicks foraging in the garden.
