We still have the high tax, but the expected price is around R$3,600 to R$4,000 (approximately US$630 to US$700).

yes but that's not an excuse, hardware pricing is expected, but the game pricing is just insane.

PS5 games are R$350 while DK Bananza will be R$439 even though both are US$70 out there.

Switch 1 voucher for 2 games costs R$579 while Mario Kart World alone will be R$500. that's just insane.

It's insane that it is going to cost double the direct conversion from other currencies. Might as well just buy the region looked version in Japan because importing games is cheaper.
