I dunno… I made a 50 min connection once. Arrived exactly on time into a bus gate (TK) and went out of Z gates (LH) back to the US. I even mozied because I was so sure I was going to miss it, but still made the flight with time to spare.

Had a 45 minute connection, shrank down to 20 minutes. I made it, my suitcase didn’t, but was delivered to my apartment just 3 hours later.
Schengen-Schengen is easier though, no border control whatsoever.

FRA has so far been extremely kind to me - made a (delayed to) 20 min connection from an international flight this year. FRA is still nicer than LHR.
