I’ve never argued with god, but here it goes. They make the 2 then they are up 3. Which is the equivalent to a FG to tie the game instead of a FG beating them. So kicking the extra point makes no difference in making or missing it.

I get it when you go up by a point later in the game, but Buffalo put itself behind the 8-ball when they went for 2 early on. It's as if teams get too impatient, to early.
Now if they hadn't gone for 2 on the previous TD, they would have been able to be up by three with an extra point. Not saying you shouldn't go for 2 after that penalty but damn it would be much nicer to be up by 3 right now.
Which is sensible late in a tight game, but early on when there will definitely be more points put on the board you're wasting it. Bills have intentionally given up 2 points. It matters against the Chiefs.
And if it was in the 4th quarter that would matter but it was halfway through the 3rd. And if they don’t go for two twice and fail, they’d have that 3 point lead. God is correct on this one, and I’m an atheist.🤷🏻♂️
Problem with that (in this game though) is if the bills had just taken the extra points twice it would have been 31 points to 28. (the chiefs wouldn't have taken the 2 point conversion to go up 7 because they would have already been ahead by 7. it makes the chiefs final fg a TIE instead of a win.

Both teams scored 4 TD and kicked 1 FG. Who knows how the game would have played out if they kick the PAT to close the deficit to 21-17?
If they did not go for the 2 point conversion the first time or the second - Chiefs would need touchdown to win instead of a field goal.
