In regard to Dental, we have recently accessed the public dental scheme in our area. We're pensioners now.
But Medicare should have always covered Dental, stupid that it doesn't. I know why it doesn't.

Dental never will be covered IMO.

Too costly for a public health system, too many potential overcharging rorts. (I put dentists right there with cosmetic surgeons & real estate agents in terms of ethics).

Paying for your own teeth promotes good habits to avoid costly dental work too.

I hear this but the ongoing imposts on the health system because of poor dental hygiene are incredibly costly - say what you will about practitioners who want to tort the system, they will always be there but overall it would be good policy, from memory Gough wanted it as well…
