oh dang I forgot alt text: it's a darkened room. A tv is on the dresser playing that one episode of Stargate where they go to the planet where everyone lives a 100 days and he shags some lady and gets reverse Benjamin button disease

I just watched the episode where the Granny from Dante's Peak who died trying to row her grandkids to safety through acid water using her arms as paddles goes through the gate to find her fiancé who has been living wherever the fuck for 50 years by himself. #stargate
OMG that movie that tried to capitalize on the disaster movie craze of that era. There were even duplicates. Who did it better? Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton or Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche?
I’m already at the end of Season 2 of Stargate SG-1 and the writing and acting is so good. The episode where O’Neill and Teal’c switch bodies and Teal’c as O’Neill threatens to shave his head was really well done.
What's really fascinating is that it seemed like every single Canadian actor at the time circulated through with a guest appearance in the franchise (since it was filmed in Vancouver).
I’m in the middle of season 3 of Stargate SG-1 and I just love this show so much 😭
I love how they go to different planets and try to help people, not take over. O’Neill taught some kids how to play hopscotch and paint and then she went back to her planet and taught all the other kids and I’m like
I get the whole Prime Directive thing, but I really think this is the much better way of approaching encounters with other worlds. Just go and meet people on their own terms, learn from them, let them learn from us.
It was just one kid. I think the episode was called Learning Curve. All the kids get nanites in their brains and they are super smart but then the nanites are shared with the entire race and the kids end up just sitting a cell but then O’Neill taught them all how to play by teaching one girl. 10/10
Also the one with the two Carters from two different realities and the one Carter is married to O’Neill in her reality and she has an intense wig and it was just really sadddddd
IIRC the Air Force made Anderson an honorary general for stargate constantly showing the air force in a positive light and one of the Air Force Chiefs of Staff shows up in a later episode playing himself
Stargate Atlantis, blends into and shoots off from SG 1 around the beginning of season 8 . It does what SG1 does but so much more polished,It's a shame it didn't get more seasons.
