When I see people with this take, it's completely maddening. As if *children* can just jump on Amazon or drive to their nearest B&N or Half Price Books. As if all parents across the board are picking up the slack in educating their children that racism *exists*, much less that it's bad, actually

“Are the books banned or just not available in schools and libraries?” This is a lot like asking, “Is it dangerously hot outside or does the temperature read 110-degrees F for some other reason?” or “Is the mine filled with carbon monoxide or did the canary just happen to die?
