Not content with screwing farmers over Brexit, Nigel Farage would like to do it again by importing cheap US chicken, washed in chlorine to kill all the bacteria caused by the awful conditions they are reared in.

Someone explain to me why we in the UK would need to import subpar chicken when we have access to far superior quality chicken from our own farmers on home soil
Makes zero sense to me
Unless there is a chicken shortage in UK I don’t know of, we eat ours / US eats theirs…
You couldn’t pay me enough to ever eat a piece of chicken or meat coming from the US
To me, it’s also a question of what’s right
When I am in the UK, I attempt to eat what’s homegrown / who are we if we don’t support our farmers etc
Indeed! Don’t consume any so-called foods from us, especially now! We lost our FDA.
Also, the cruelty of it (also a quality of my fellow countrymen). It’s immoral to eat those poor animals after their painful lives and merciless deaths.
Farage really is a peddler of hate and trash. And his idiot followers will accept all of this for the promise of seeing fewer brown faces in Tesco. I will never understand this mindset.
People have never understood their civic duties, their responsibilities, social systems etc because they do utilize their education to read beyond and understand. When this decay happens, they resort what others teach via various mediums.
As they believe what is said than what the actual facts are they get misinformed. That misinformation becomes their truth as it is repeated again and again leading to having a catastrophic governments. AMERICA
Nige offered 3 excuses:
1 - We import dodgy chicken from Thailand
2 - Salad is chlorinated
3 - ‘Discerning’ buyers will continue buying their chicken from farmers’ markets.
Response:
1 - Yes, thanks to Brexit. Let’s not double down.
2 - That’s why you wash it.
3 - So, fuck the poor then, Nige?
Also, his "We wash salad leaves in chlorine - it's just the same!" argument is nonsense. The solutions have different concentrations, and we do much more testing. He's just trying to keep his name in the media as usual.

He bought Turnberry from a Dubai investment company.
The Aberdeen one was bought from local land owners.

I may well not understand the economics behind it

He's done enough damage already.
Additionally chlorine is less used these days and weak acids are used instead.
We need a Full Fact report on this.
