Hama is about 70 km from the closest...previously rebel held areas. Very fast for an opposed military advance, but not for anything else.

I'm watching for any signs of captured operational aircraft at Hama air base - if crews can be found for them to mount even a symbolic strike on Damascus the psychological effect would be significant. One fighter bombing the Saigon Presidential palace in 1975 had a huge effect
