The amount of batteries it takes to build one Cybertruck is enough for 5+ electric midsized sedans with good aerodynamic streamlining that get 200+ miles highway range(see Solectria Sunrise, GM Precept, for what that would like like), and 100+ one-seater electric velomobiles with 200+ mils range.
"man-made, catastrophic and preventable climate change that kills millions" is a bit long, so it's usually just shortened to "climate change" in casual conversation
Imagine thinking "we don't fully understand this" is the same thing as "this doesn't exist". Believe it or not, a lot of basic science is still a mystery at its roots. So no, we don't know everything. Sorry to break it to you.
A woefully truncated explanation is that scientists have excavated glaciers and discovered the carbon content and average temperature of the Earth over BILLIONS of years.
Plotting those points on a timeline show that our planet cycles between ice ages and shorter warm periods. -
Despite the names given, ice ages are actually pretty ideal for mankind and our entire history has been on the upward trend towards the peak of an ice age - until the industrial revolution.
Our carbon footprint has plateaued the progress towards this upcoming ice age and recently-
- caused it to trend hotter. The Earth is /already/ suffering extreme weather events and unbearable heat due to the rising temperature. I can only imagine how bad things will get once we shoulder past the peak of our ice age and the world begins to naturally heat up again.
It's a pitty the app I used to make this was ruined by the introduction of AI features & I literally can't fix this typo because it's pretty much unusable now.
