It’s very odd to me that in the 90’s we had 3 different songs about abortion - The Freshman by Verve Pipe, Brick by Ben Folds and Breathe (2 am) by Anna Nalick. I wonder how the effect of those morose songs in pop radio affected abortion opinion and how it trickles down with gen X and millennials.
They had better songs that only got airplay on stations like The Impact, 92.1. Of course, back in the day, we just went to Small Planet, or one of the other live band bars to hear them. (Sigh)
