I suppose the main thing is that it generally gets a pretty big update around that time that always draws me back in from the break I take at some point earlier in the year?
for me its pretty much any puzzle games, a portal 2 replay usually is in order, sometimes Q.U.B.E (Directors Cut), Fez, Thomas was alone. The sorta games where you can just let yourself get lost in the world or story for a while, cozy in some warm clothes.
