What cheats do in single player games is their business, and it's okay if they break the game in various ways.
There's letting players do that, however, and there's simply having poor balance with temptation to take all challenge out of the game.

I'm surprised we don't see more people with electric alligator clips attached to their nipples while playing Donkey Kong or something like that
One example is a very old game called "Velvet Assassin". I *never* got past the second mission, because you're supposed to kill two guards, and the second one *always* saw me first. -.-
But no mods to help yet...
Something that's not as hard as beating the game normally would be, but still enough that you have to think about it a little.
*If the tradeoff isn't clear, it could be a trap for new players, which isn't fun.
